Samshield is a brand dedicated to equestrian equipment, founded in 2003 by Sam Maloigne. A former motocross rider and horseman, Maloigne set out to create innovative helmets that guarantee optimum protection without compromising elegance — so every rider can feel confident, protected and free to express their individuality.

The Samshield Story

The Samshield adventure began when Maloigne saw a need for greater safety and comfort in the equestrian helmets of the time. In 2006, in collaboration with young show jumping talents including Nicolas Delmotte, Simon Delestre and Kevin Staut, Samshield launched its first helmet and helped spark a new era in riding head protection. Over the years the range has grown to include specialist clothing, bags and iconic helmet lines such as the XJ and 2.0, each developed with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
