PROUD-AID is a wound care treatment like no other it is uniquely formulated to aid in the prevention and treatment of proud flesh. Proud flesh begins 3-6 days post injury.

If it is not treated in the early stages surgical removal, chemical cauterization or burning the granulation bed sometimes more than once becomes the only option.

Factors which contribute to the development of Proud-flesh include a relatively poor blood supply to the distal limb, local tissue hypoxia, infection, movement and chronic irritation attributable to topical irritants.
