Breyer Model Horses
Breyer makes realistic model horses based on real breeds and coat colours. Models come in different scales, so check the series before mixing horses with riders, tack or stables.
- Traditional is the largest series, at around 1:9 scale, and popular with collectors.
- Classics and Freedom are around 1:12 scale and include riders, horse and foal sets and play sets.
- Stablemates are around 1:32 scale, small enough to collect in numbers or hang as ornaments.
- Activity sets let children paint their own horse, ornament or suncatcher.

Collectible Horse Figurines
The Trail of Painted Ponies range features horse figurines decorated by artists, each with its own story and design. These are display pieces for a shelf or cabinet rather than toys for play.
For larger decorative pieces for the home, see horse statues and equestrian wall art.
Soft Toys and First Toys
Plush ponies, soft horses, finger puppets and baby rattles suit younger children. Many come from Exclusively Equine.
Always check the age guidance on each listing. Small model horses, accessories and some play sets contain small parts that are not suitable for young children.
Play Sets, Blocks and Games
Horse floats, transport trucks, building block sets, puzzles and playing cards give horse mad children something to build, play and share.
Pair them with children's horse books or horse colouring books for a bigger present.
Choosing a Gift
For a young rider, a Breyer horse with a rider or a play set is a popular start. For a collector, a Traditional model or a Trail of Painted Ponies figurine makes a lasting piece.
Finish with a card from greeting cards or fun cards. For other ideas, browse equestrian gifts, horse cushions or horse mugs, or let them choose with a gift card.
