Why Choose a Loose Ring Waterford Bit?
The Loose Ring Waterford Bit is designed with a series of ball-shaped links, allowing complete movement in all directions. This design is particularly effective for horses that tend to lean, take hold of the bit, or set their jaw. When a horse attempts to take hold of the bit, the mouthpiece collapses, preventing the horse from finding a rigid surface to pull against.
This bit distributes pressure evenly over the tongue and bars of the mouth, making it ideal for stronger horses. It should be worn 1/4" to 1/2" wider than standard for optimal effectiveness.
Stainless Steel Construction
Made from durable stainless steel, this bit is easy to clean and resistant to rust. Some models include copper mouthpieces to encourage salivation and acceptance of the bit. Stainless steel bits are versatile and suitable for various horse disciplines.
