The Hanging Cheek is a fixed cheek bit designed to encourage flexion, making it especially useful for horses with a high head carriage. It is also beneficial for horses uncertain of the bit due to its limited mouth movement. The Waterford mouthpiece, composed of ball-shaped links, is fully movable, preventing horses from taking hold of the bit.

Brass alloy, created by alloying copper with a harder metal, results in a warm, durable material that aids salivation and is more palatable for horses. This bit is ideal for stronger horses with high head carriage and should be worn 1/4" - 1/2" wider than standard for optimal effectiveness.
