Equitex Medicated Poultice Dressing

Overview

The Equitex Medicated Poultice Dressing is a versatile, non-sterile dressing designed for equine use. Made from 100% cotton, it features a non-woven cover and a plastic backing to retain heat when used as a hot dressing. This dressing is infused with Boric Acid (60g/kg) and Tragacanth (136g/kg) to provide mild antiseptic properties.

Usage Instructions

For a hot poultice, cut the dressing to size and soak in boiled water cooled to 38°C. Apply with the plastic side away from the skin, securing with a cohesive bandage. For a cold poultice, chill the dressing in the refrigerator before application. As a dry dressing, apply directly to the area and secure with a bandage.
